I'm still alive...
So, two more exams to go, and it'll be over.
I celebrated 1 year with Victor last weekend. We went to Tobermory, and visited Flowerpot Island. We wandered along the rocky beach, and got to a point where we just couldn't go any further. Rather than head back to get on the path, we went through the forest to find the path. We ended up climbing Castly Bluff, which is about 50 feet tall, I'd guess. We got to the top (after looking for quite a few safer routes than sheer cliff face), and we came across an unfinished path. It was a cleared out route (no trees or branches), and was marked by pink ribbons on the occational tree. We followed it around the cliff edge until we came across stuff we'd already seen... After 3 hours of wandering, we found a way down, which turned out to be the same way we climbed up. We had time to eat, and make it back before our ferry left.
The next day, we went to Grieg's Caves. Those were pretty neat, and I liked climbing into the little dark crevices. There was one hole with daylight on the other side I squeezed through, though Victor said he'd meet me on the other side. I came out and said "hello", and from 15 feet below Victor said "hello"... So I ended up trying to climb down another cliff face, with only Victor below me as a pillow.
Oh! I got a new chinchilla!! Meg's dog chased one on campus, and it was still there hours later when the got it with a box. I named him Chinchkabob, or Jack for short. I came home from the weekend, and he'd chewed right through my keyboard cable, and had done a job on a few more. This is why he's Chinchkabob. (Not enough meat to bbq him for food, though.) So, the cable's been spliced back together, and the power cord's been replaced, and Jack has no idea how mad I am at him. Instead, he just looks cute and scampers on my shoulder. All my roomies love him, though they've for the most part joined the "I've been peed on by a chinchilla" club. You can join by invitation only, and it's an offer you can't refuse!
Oh, my pillow joined the club, too.
So, for now, I hope everyone is satisfied.
Things should be getting less busy soon, so if you bug me, I will reply!
