It's Official... I have a job!
I'm working in Mississauga this term!
I had four interviews in the past few days... Friday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Friday's job was awesome... working at the power plant in Niagra Falls. Unfortunately, I needed a car to get to the plant, and I don't have one. I told them so, but they offered me the job anyways. That was the first time I've ever said 'no' to a job!
Monday was a job in Kitchener. I was asked "so, what happens if you don't get a job this year"... I had assumed I didn't get the job until two days later I got an email from school telling me I had it, and needed to decide by Thursday.
Tuesday was Hatch, a consulting firm just off Winston Churchill by the QEW. (Big beautiful glass building that won an award this year.) As of 20 mins ago, I read the words "we want to give you the job offer"... Wheeeee!!!!
But yesterday I had to go to the final interview, since I wasn't sure... It was working in Cambridge at a cement excavation pit. I'd get to drive a truck around, get samples, and test those. It would almost be like construction work. Again, I have the same problem with actually getting to the 'pit', since I have no car and there's no public transport.
Anyways, I'm working at Hatch starting September. I think they want me to come back when I'm done school, if they like me. The only problem is... it's so close to my parents! (And Victor, who's working full time in Oakville, but that's a bonus.)
YAY!!!
