Pics! So my trip begins...

Ahahahaha... I found some photos that I uploaded online... so I can make a start...

May 7-9, 2006.
So, anyways, the trip started with a Greyhound ride to Calgary. As you can see, the prairies are flat. It was boring. For the most part, there weren't even trees in the distance. One moment, it's trees and rocks from the Canadian sheild, and then it's flat flat flat! You can see the horizon line! Well, the bus trip there was 2 full days, a full 49 hours! I got a lot of reading done.
I should probably say I started this trip with a class friend named Sabeen! She and I knew the bus trip would be long, and that we'd be sleeping on the bus two nights in a row, and took precautions to stay as far away as we could whenever possible, to avoid killing each other. As it turned out, the entire trip to Thunder Bay was full of hippies going to do some tree planting. That means we were crammed in a little seat side by side, trying to sleep but not having much luck until the freaking hippies left at like 8am. We stayed up late talking to one, and he had absolutely no clue about anything... he didn't know anything about Kyoto but had strong feelings that it was definately a good thing. *sigh* But he did have a major in Philosophy, and his thesis was on interpretation of "literal meanings".
