A trip to the ZOO!!

So, I went to the Calgary Zoo.The zoo had a lot of animals, but I didn't upload the pictures. They had tigers, and bears, and crazy birds, and elephants, and giraffes, and moose, and gorillas and chameleons, and peacocks. But I uploaded pictures of the building with the gardens. So, the garden was crazy! It had 3 rooms, as I recall. The first room was hot, and full of desert plants. Crazy big cacti and palms, and all sorts of weird and fancy spiky things I've never seen! I was crazy impressed. Until the second room. It was the butterfly room. It had all these big plants with crazy huge flowers. There were occational stumps with oranges or grapefruit sliced on them. But the butterflies... they were larger than my hand! And there were so many of them! The third room was less enchanting than the butterflies, but the flowers were so much crazier. It was the tropic flowers, and some of them were just plain strange. When was the last time you saw such a beautiful orchid that wasn't in a pot in some crazy person's house? Yeah, that's what I thought.
So, anyways, the zoo was fun. We didn't get to see the whole thing because we were taking our time, and it got late and started to close. The part we skipped was the "prehistoric" section. We were told ahead of time that if there was any section to skip, that would be the one. We later spoke with someone who *did* go. She gave an example of a display there. It was a pond, with two fake dinosoars attacking each other. But the pond had dried up, so the entire display was just two fake heads in a dirt pit biting each other. Beautiful.
