To: Your MP

If your MP is Conservative:
Dear MP ,
I am writing with regards to Bill C-311, the Climate Change Accountability Act. I am a resident of ??? ??? constituency, and an active voter and participant in my community.
I am very concerned that your party voted to delay bill C-311 on Oct 21. I am dismayed that Canada has not been pushing environmental issues since the last election, and am downright embarrassed that we have in fact become one of the world's biggest polluters!! Concern for climate is a very important voting issue for me, and this bill is a very important piece of legislature.
Please let me know what your personal stance is on the Climate Bill. I would also like to know what Canada will be bringing to the table in the Copenhagen discussions this December as the current emissions targets are unacceptable. I would encourage you to fast-track Bill C-311, as these are the minimum requirements set out by the UN and the Nobel-winning IPCC.
I eagerly await your reply.
Kind regards,

If your MP is Liberal:
Dear MP ,
I am writing with regards to Bill C-311, the Climate Change Accountability Act. I am a resident of ???Etobicoke - Lakeshore??? constituency, and an active voter and participant in my community.
I am very disappointed with the vote on Oct 21, to delay Bill C-311. I am especially disappointed that your party was encouraged to vote for the delay. Climate change is an important voting issue for me, and I am surprised that your platform on environment has changed so drastically from the carbon cap-and-trade platform proposed by the Liberals in the last election.
Please let me know what your personal stance is on this issue, as well as what Canada will be bringing to the table in the Copenhagen discussions this December. I would encourage you to fast-track Bill C-311, as these are the minimum requirements set out by the UN and the Nobel-winning IPCC.
I eagerly await your reply.
Kind regards,

If your MP is NDP:
Dear MP,
I am writing with regards to Bill C-311, the Climate Change Accountability Act. I am a resident of ???Trinity-Spadina??? constituency, and an active voter and participant in my community.
I was proud to hear that your party suggested Bill C-311, and would like to congratulate the success of the bill thus far. I am, however, very disappointed with the vote to delay on Oct 21. Climate change is an important voting issue for me, and I am dismayed that it will not be legislature before the Copenhagen discussions this December.
I would appreciate any updates on the progress of this bill, and I would like your take on what Canada will be offering in Copenhagen this year. I also encourage you to continue your efforts to fast-track Bill C-311 - they are duly noted.
I look forward to your reply.
Kind regards,
